The ‘Towards INMS’ Project is now well underway! The Third INMS Plenary Meeting (INMS-3) was held in April, and was attended by 115 participants from 29 countries, with 58 project partners represented. The Project Coordination Unit would like to thank everyone who attended and made it so successful. More details on the meeting can be found here.
INMS was also a part of World Environment Day 2018, in New Delhi, holding a session titled ‘Nitrogen: Joining Up for a Cleaner Environment’. Since this event, there have been several articles published, including one in Nature India discussing India as hot spot for nitrogen pollution, the full article can be found here.
The International Nitrogen Initiative has recently announce a new Chair and Vice-chair to take over from Towards INMS director Mark Sutton in 2019. Their combined effort will enable INI to strengthen its contribution to global science-policy processing, which includes supporting INMS and providing input to the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA).
