Law on air protection (Republic of Srpska).

This Law hereby prescribes the necessary protection and management provisions as regards the air quality, and also determines various effective measures such as organizational and control rules; special protection issues and manners for the improvement of air quality on the state territory (not to be considered when dealing with radioactive materials, industrial waste and elemental/natural disasters, that are all treated by different Laws). Major aims of this Law are to preserve and improve the quality of air through determination and realization of measures in the area of protection aimed to prevent and/or reduce the adverse effects on human health and/or the environment; to prevent and reduce the pollution causing damage to the ozone layer and contributing to the adverse effects of the climate change phenomena; to monitor and evaluate the related data (on air quality based on measurements and standardized methods also listed in this text); to respect obligations in accordance with the approved/adopted international treaties. The Chapters are: Basic provisions (I); Control of air quality (II); Values of air quality (III); Strategy, plans and programmes (IV); Measures for improvement of air quality (V); Business measurement of emissions and levels of warm materials in the air (VI); Information and reporting (VII); Information system (VIII); Financing of protection and improvement of air quality (IX); Supervision (X); Penalty provisions (XI); Translation and final provisions (XII).
