This Law prescribes various standards, requirements and methods for the mandatory protection of the air quality on the territory of the Montenegro.; Provisions provided by this Law will further regulate the: damage control. Monitoring, prevention and concrete protection measures; assessment and improvement of air quality; as well as the planning and management of air quality.; Air, as a natural value of general interest, is part of the environment and has a special protection in Montenegro. This Law also defines the official sources of pollution, various financial aspects of the air protection, inspection, data collection and monitoring provisions, including all administrative, technical, state and other issues all regarding the air protection duties and related activities. It includes concepts and provisions that are related o the following global topics: Climate change; Emissions of greenhouse gases; Clean development mechanism; Transboundary air pollution over long distances. Chapter VI includes the official maximum emissions of pollutants and other similar and/or related values.; Protection of air from pollution with radioactive substances, genetically modified organisms, noise and natural disasters is object defined and regulated by other specific national Laws.; The Law is divided into XI Chapters and 59 articles, including the offences and related penalties.
