The Resolution regulates protection zones of surface water objects in Georgia. It consists of eight articles: Scope of regulation (1); Main provisions (2); Prohibitions in effect in the protection zones of surface water objects (3); Special requirements imposed on water objects and water protection zones (4); Use of forest in the water protection zones (5); Transferring land in ownership or use, and use of forest in the water protection zones (6); Land use control in the water protection zones (7); and Liability for violations of the Resolution (8). The purpose of the Resolution is to define the protection zones, impose land and forest use regime on the territories, regulate water pollution, and protect the water objects from silting and drying up.
