Water Law.

The present Law implements the Federal Water Resources Act in its up-to-date version. The purpose of the Law is to enforce and complete the Federal Water Resources Act in its respectively applicable version as far as the later does not contain a final or specific regulation or if certain fields are explicitly reserved to the legislation of the Land. Furthermore, the Law contains also derogations from the afore-mentioned Federal Water Resources Act. The text consists of 128 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions, classification of waters, property (1); Management of waters (2); Special water resources provisions (3); Compensation, settlement (4); Survey of waters (5); Competence and proceedings (6); Water charges for use of water (7); Criminal and fine proceedings (8); Transitional and final provisions (9). Five Annexes are enclosed.
