Belize Agricultural Health Authority (Service Fees) Regulations, 2004 (S.I. No. 182 of 2004).

These Regulations require plants, animals and their products or by-products including food (“Commodities”) that are either exported from or imported in Belize to undergo procedures of inspection, sampling and analyzis as prescribed by the Belize Agricultural Health Authority Act and these Regulations. Inspections include inspection of materials to be exported for purposes of issuing a Sanitary or Phytosanitary Certificate, onboard inspections on arriving vessels by Quarantine Officers, inspection of a food commodity to be imported without a Sanitary Certificate and quarantine inspection. Sampling and analyzis shall concern import risks of commodities imported for the first time in Belize, commodities imported from a country or region not previously approved or otherwise at risk. Commodities in transit shall be treated a commodities to be imported in Belize. The Regulations prescribe fees for the various kinds of inspection, sampling and analyzing services.
