Environment Protection (Sea Dumping) Act 1984.
The Act implements the Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and other Matter. This Act regulates dumping at sea and incineration at sea of wastes and other matter, provides for related permits and for the functions and powers of inspectors.; The Act consists of 37 sections and is divided into the following Parts: Preliminary; Regulation of dumping and incineration; Permits; Inspectors and Miscellaneous. The Act is completed by a schedule that reports the text of the Convention.
