The Act provides, inter alia, for the establishment of the Water Board for purposes of this Act. The Board shall have the power to take measures for obtaining and maintaining information on underground water resources, to control such resources and regulate the use of such resources (sect. 3). Owners of wells shall furnish information to the Board pursuant to section 5. A licence for the construction of wells is required under section 6. The Board may attach conditions to a license in accordance with section 9. Implied conditions of license are set out in section 10. Quantities of water that may be abstracted by a holder of licence may be revised if conditions of drought require so (set. 12). The Board may declare areas where it shall be prohibited to use wells for disposal of sewage water or other waste. Regulation making powers of the Board are set out in section 17. (17 sections)
