This Continental Rural Development Programme aims at the implementation of the following measures: Measure 1 - Innovation; Measure 2 - Knowledge; Measure 3 - Agricultural Production Value; Measure 4 - Development of Forest Resources; Measure 5 - Production Organization; Measure 6 - Management of Risk and Restoring the Potential Productivity; Measure 7 - Agriculture and Natural Resources (organic farming, integrated production, soil conservation, efficient use of water, etc.) Traditional Permanent Crops, Grazing Extensive, Genetic Resources, Agroforestry, Forest-Environment, Beekeeping Agroenvironmental Support; Measure 8 Protection And Rehabilitation Of Forest Stands (Sustainable Forestry Resources Management Cynegetic And Aquaculture); Measure 9 - Agricultural Activity of Maintenance in less Favoured Areas; Measure 10 - Leader (Preparatory Support, Implementation Of Strategies). This Programme aims at implementing the objectives, priorities, as well as needs. These needs are based on the evidence of the SWOT analysis, as follows: Increase the productivity of land, including improvements in soil fertility and reorganization of forest products; Increase the production of forest raw materials in a sustainable manner; Increase the capacity for innovation in the food and forestry sector and strengthen their connection; Increased energy efficiency and use of renewable energy; Combating desertification; Creating conditions of viability of smallholder agriculture; Promotion of new target markets for agri-food and forest products; Diversify economic activity, in particular for activities related to agricultural activity; Improve value distribution along the agri-food chain by concentrating supply and a better integration; Improve efficiency in the use of inputs in agricultural production; Improving the quality of life in rural areas; training level of improvement and advice to agricultural and forestry producers; Promoting the renewal and restructuring of farms; Promoting investment in the agro-forestry sector; Protection of natural water and soil resources; Protection and promotion of biodiversity; Strengthening risk management mechanisms.
