This Decree, consisting of 24 articles divided into seven Chapters and four Appendixes, details a number of articles, and measures to implement the provisions, of the Law on Environmental Protection regarding environmental protection master plan, strategic environmental assessment, environmental impact assessment and environmental protection plan. This Decree applies to agencies, organizations and individuals that are engaged in activities related to environmental protection master plan, strategic environmental assessment, environmental impact assessment and environmental protection plan in the territory of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.; The Decree is divided as follows: General Provisions (Chap. I); Environmental Protection Master Plan (Chap. II); Strategic Environmental Assessment (Chap. III); Environmental Impact Assessment (Chap. IV); Environmental Protection Plans (Chap. V); Organization of Implementation (Chap. VI); Implementation Provisions (Chap. VII). Appendixes deal with the following lists: List of strategies, master plans and plans subject to strategic environmental assessment; List of projects subject to environmental impact assessment; List of projects with environmental impact assessment reports to be appraised and approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; List of objects not subject to registration of environmental protection plans.
