Decree No. 125 of the Ministry of Public Health validating Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for protection of underground facilities used for potable water supply against pollution.
The scope of these Sanitary rules and regulations shall be to prevent negative impact by various economic activities upon underground facilities used for potable water supply against pollution and also selection of underground potable water abstraction sources used for centralized potable water supply and supervision over the state thereof in the process of operation. It shall be mandatory for state bodies, other organizations, natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs. Sanitary protection arrangements shall include protection of water conservation zones and other water protection arrangements. Irrigation of agricultural land with effluent waste water, if it has negative impact on potable water supply sources shall be prohibited.
