This Circular provides for the establishment of the Water Quality Management Commission within the scope of European Union (EU) – Turkey harmonization process. According to the Circular the Commission will be consisted of representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, the Ministry of Interior Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Development and the General Directorate of EU Affairs. The aim of the Commission is to make water policies for the protection of water resources and increasing water quality. The Commission will also be responsible from the harmonisation of the legal, executive and technical aspects of water policies with EU.
