The present Law of Harmonization and Simplification in the area of Protection of the Territory and of Natural Resources, incorporates measures of simplification, promotion of participation and transparency in the procedure of approval of the territorial and urban planning instruments; measures to regulate the strategic environmental assessment of the plans and programs and the environmental evaluation of projects that may have significant effects on the environment, identifying, describing and evaluating in an appropriate way the direct or indirect effects on the environment; and measures for the strategic evaluation of territorial plans and programs that affect the Natura 2000 Network.
