Ministerial Order concerning the compliance of storage facilities for livestock effluents

This decree brings the regulation relating to the compliance of storage facilities for livestock effluents. Article 2 establishes that, pursuant to Articles 8 to 15 of the Nitrates Ordinance and within the limits set by this Order, only work to bring the storage facilities of certain types of juice into line is eligible for aid. flow and livestock effluents from registered herds or corresponding to the accommodation capacity of the buildings on 9 December 2002. Namely: 1 ° the construction or installation of buried or non-underground storage facilities; 2 ° the creation of storage pits and slurry pockets in geomembranes; (3) the construction of uncovered manure and the storage of juice from it. With the prior and favorable technical advice of the administration, the construction of the cover could also be taken into account; (4) the installation of adequate systems for the constant and easy verification of the watertightness of tanks and storage pits; (5) the installation of linear elements intended for the recovery of manure and juice; 6 ° the construction of fixed installations for mixing, aeration or transfer of liquid effluents; (7) the construction of concrete areas for the storage of poultry effluents and the storage facilities for the juices produced therefrom. With the prior and favorable technical advice of the administration, coverage could also be taken into account in the case of storage of wet poultry droppings; (8) areas not covered by walking or waiting for animals when there is a risk of brown water production; 9 ° work to improve, renovate and seal existing storage infrastructures to bring them into compliance; (10) excavation and embankment work intended for the integration of works admitted to subsidization and within a radius of 50 m thereof; 11 ° devices designed to limit unavoidable stormwater inflow in storage facilities.
