According to Law No. 6 of 8 January 1968 (regulating the commerce of fertilizers, feeds and agricultural medicines) and to Decree No. 15659 of 21 September 1970 (concerning the commerce, production, processing and importation of fertilizers), this Resolution provides for the establishment of a technical committee called “Fertilizers Committee” composed by nine specialists representing different departments and offices (art. 1). Competencies and duties of the Committee are the following: (a) classification of fertilizers; (b) definition of requirements and conditions necessary for fertilizers; (c) approval of licences and authorizations for fertilizers; and (d) definition of the Registration Form and the information that should be included in the Form (art. 2).
