Prevention of Pollution (Guernsey) Law, 1989.
This Law makes provision with respect to measures to prevent the pollution of the Island's water resources by pollutants. The Island's water resources includes water on the surface or underground. No person shall cause or permit pollution and the States make provision to protect the Island's water resources against pollution or the risk thereof. The competent authority may issue anti-pollution notices on persons that endanger water resources in catchment areas and may undertake works for the protection of such resources.
