This Regulation determines the rules aimed to allocate the financial revenues deriving from the auction sale of aviation related activity emission allowances (National Trust Greenhouse Fund and Enterprise for Management of Environmental Protection Activities are here indicated as competent national bodies). This Regulation further sets the necessary requirements for the approval and financing of projects for the implementation of the following climate change mitigation activities: reduction of greenhouse gas emissions; adaptation to the impacts of climate change in the Republic of Bulgaria and in neighbor countries; financing of activities related to the elaboration of Climate change National adaptation strategy; implementation of other projects related to the adaptation to various necessary climate change fighting measures; funding of scientific research.
