Greenhouse Gas Emissions Regulations (N.S. Reg. 260/2009).

The present Regulations are made under subsection 28(6) and section 112 of the Environment Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to the limitation of greenhouse gas emissions from electricity generation. The purpose of the Regulations is to reduce emissions in Nova Scotia’s electricity sector by mandating increasingly lower targets for allowable emissions. The text consists of 7 sections.
