Regulation on Clean Development Mechanism Projects.
The Regulation, which consists of 8 articles, provides for clean development mechanism projects based on article 12 of the Kyoto Protocol (1997) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The Department of Environment (DoE) is the responsible authority to accept and monitor the clean development projects. All companies and agencies willing to plan and implement the clean development projects should send their plan to the afore-mentioned Department which shall assess the plan and announce its final decision within thirty days; if the plan meets the requirements, the said Department shall issue a license to start the project.
