This National Strategy on Food and Nutrition Security, consisting of 5 Thematic Topics and 4 Annexes, establishes the 7 Objectives to be achieved in order to contribute to the food security of Angola. These objectives are: 1 increasing and diversifying agricultural, livestock and fisheries production in a sustainable way in order to improve food access for the population and its living conditions; 2 ensuring the availability, stability and sustainability of food, promoting the interconnection between areas with surpluses and higher consumption in order to restore the internal market activity; 3 improving the conditions of access to food through the guarantee of social protection, especially for the most disadvantaged groups; 4 reducing the level of malnutrition by improving food access conditions, to primary health, education and sanitation services; 5 ensuring the health safety, quality of food and drinking water for human health and protection; 6 creating and implementing national and local early warning systems, monitoring for food and nutrition security systems as well as communication and information mechanisms to families system (SISAN); 7 creating a cross-sectoral platform for the coordinating policies and actions on food and nutrition security with the participation of civil society.; This strategy is included in the Strategic Long Term Development (PEDLP-2025) and its Development of Medium-Term Plan 2009-2013 and the various sectoral policies. The Annexes to the Strategy shows the plan of action specifying all the steps to be taken in order to reach the above mentioned 7 Objectives.; Annex III specifies Axes and Thematic Topics of action: Topic 1: improving, diversification and sustainability of agro-livestock production and fisheries; Topic 2: strengthening and consolidation of organizational and productive capacity at family and associative levels, in agro-farming, livestock and fishing sectors; Topic 3: strengthening social protection for children and vulnerable groups, family skills, food and nutrition community education; Topic 4: encourage scientific research applied throughout the food and nutritional chain; Topic 5: Information System on Food and Nutrition Security (SISAN).
