This Decree amends the executive Regulations of Law No. 48 of 1982 concerning the Protection of the Nile River and water channels from pollution in the Ministerial Decree No. 8 of 1982. It is composed of 8 Parts which include 64 articles. Part one consists of some definitions. Part 2 provides for the Licensing for entities to dump treated effluent waste in water channels. Part 3 addresses the monitoring to ensure the requirements and conditions of licensing are taken into account. Part 4 is concerned with the dumping of the fixed and mobile floating waste and the license to set it up. Part 5 is on sampling and making analysis. Part 6 provides for the standards and requirements for treated effluent waste dumping into water channels. Part 7 is on the special fund of all the fees and fines. Part 8 sets forth some general provisions.
