Ministerial Decree No. 75 validating the Regulation on classifying waterbodies as sources of potable water.
This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities for classifying waterbodies as potential centralized or non-centralized sources of potable water using the following criteria: (a) for groundwater, hydrological characteristics of the aquifer, analysis of water samples and sanitary and epidemiological certification of water quality; and (b) for surface water, hydro-geological data on the water source and its compliance with water abstraction requirements and sanitary norms and standards.
