Council of Ministers Regulation to provide the Code of Practice of the Floriculture Sector (No. 207/2011).
This Regulation seeks to improve environmental and social sustainability of farms enganged in floriculture. The Regulations impose certain requirements regarding, among other things, the use of chemicals, waste management practices, water management, etc. These Requirements shall be fulfilled by farms that wish to obtain a certification as set out by this Regulation. Farms shall carry out internal audits. The Environmental Protection Authority shall carry out various control duties and shall appoint inspectors for purposes of these Regulations.
