Environmental Quality Standard for Surface Water of People's Republic of China.
This Standard is approved by the State Environment Protection Bureau, which is formulated according to the Law of Environment Protection and the Regulations of Water Pollution Control, aims at controlling the water pollution and protecting the water resources. It classifies the surface water into 5 grades in part one, it gives the water quality standard in part two, defines the implementation rules in part three, and the examination of water quality in part four.
