Mizoram Organic Farming Act, 2004 (Act No. 6 of 2004).
The purpose of this Act is to promote and regulate organic farming.; The Act shall develop a State Policy and Programme for Organic Farming whose aims shall include to: notify areas for organic farming; encourage the development of organic farming in private land; facilitate certification of organic products in the state in conformity to the National Standards for Organic Products; and facilitate marketing of organic products in local, national and international markets.; The State shall draw up incentive schemes in order to promote organic farming. Furthermore, it shall constitute committees to undertake, promote, coordinate, supervise and facilitate various aspects of organic farming.
