Preparing Yangtze River Economic Belt Projects

The Technical Assistance to increased and catalysed domestic financing for long-term improvements in air quality and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions through the promotion of investments in clean energy, the diversification of national green bond instruments, and the improvement of financial access for MSMEs and women. The project has enhanced air quality in the broader Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Yangtze River Delta. The Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) is plagued by a number of environmental issues, particularly eutrophication brought on by nitrogen and phosphorus, and this project aims to help with the management and protection of water resources in the region.
