Fertilizer Rationalization Project

The project aimed to reduce the overuse of chemical fertilizers and promote the adoption of organic fertilizers and integrated soil fertility management practices in China. The project involved four components: policy and institutional support, demonstration and extension, market development, and project management. The project objective was also to reduce the amount of nitrogen fertilizer applied to crops and increase the efficiency of nitrogen use by farmers.
