Overview

The Project aimed to reduce nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from the production of nitric acid in Brazil. The project involves installing and operating N2O abatement catalysts in three nitric acid plants owned by Petrobras. The project is expected to reduce N2O emissions by about 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) per year.
