Overview

The project aimed to expand the water supply and sanitation coverage in the city of Cartagena, especially for the poor neighbourhoods, and to improve the environmental management of the coastal zone. The project involved building and upgrading water supply and sewerage systems to reduce the discharge of untreated wastewater into the waterways. It also involved implementing environmental management measures to protect the coastal zone from nitrogen pollution.
