Abstract

Results of the study of bacterioplankton of the Dniester River estuary (liman) carried out in 2003-2018 have been generalized in the paper. The trophic status of the estuary was determined in terms of bacterioplankton numbers. It has been found that in 2011-2018 the numbers of bacteria were higher than those registered in 2003-2010. Relationship was established between bacterioplankton numbers and electrical conductivity, water transparency, chlorophyll a and pheophytin concentration, and the total content of phosphorus. It has been found that microbiological regime of the Dniester Liman is formed under the influence of natural processes of organic matter production, and also under the influence of the factors of anthropogenic organic contamination, which distinctly manifest themselves in the middle and southern parts of the estuary.
