Yangtze River Green Ecological Corridor Comprehensive Agriculture Development Project

The project targets to strengthen rural livelihoods, especially the rural poor who rely most on natural resources as the basis for their primary source of income by modernizing their agriculture production systems and minimize environmental degradation and nonpoint source (NPS) pollution. Ultimately and as end goal, the project aims to enable sustainable and modern agriculture production systems in localities by constructing modern forming systems, enabling functional waste environmental management systems in these target localities with prevalence of low and medium agricultural productivity; high risk of soil erosion; lack of irrigation systems and limited access to road infrastructure. Targeting future sustainable and modern agriculture production systems in the target provinces, the project supports capacity building of and coordination among relevant institutions.
